We are hiring a Software-Application developer in order to enable the regional sales team to deploy our Food Retail strategy, and provide speed and momentum for fulfilling customized solution within major actors of the Food Retail industry.This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of an international team developing new software solutions for our actual hardware platform and therefore support our segment business development in the region.

A successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be to design sub-systems and modules for specific segment applications and implement them using C/C++ and available graphical tools. Other major activities will include supporting customers in adapting our hardware/software existing solutions to their applications.

Areas of responsibility
  • Analyze and review functional product requirements with the input from the region, discuss technical feasibility & bring it to live
  • Main responsible Software-application expert for our MCX controller platform within the region
  • Support Engineering and customers R&D projects (new products development, field studies, commissioning of prototypes, bug solving)
  • Integrate individual software components & functions developed by yourself
  • Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
  • Point of contact for softwae/application related issues within the region
  • Contribute with electronic and software competence to a strong team of sales and application specialists to deliver complete customer solutions
Key tasks
  • Develop software applications for the market needs within the region with the Application Team
  • Testing & qualifying developed software application before going live
  • Coding & documentation of the developed software
  • Coordinate technical decisions & being part of the global MCX champions network
  • Support regional application development with software expertise
  • Main contact for all application- & product-software related questions
  • Establish and update Technical Notices and Application Guidelines for related
Success criteria
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer-, Information-, or Electrical Engineering – thermodynamic & electronic knowledge preferred & master degree will be considered as a plus
  • Programming using C/C++ and graphical programming languages
  • Experience with IEC-61131 programming languages
  • System level design and implementation for a commercial software application
  • show initiative, is curious, and communicates well about initiatives
  • Good understanding of the application needs in the HVAC, refrigeration & commercial business
  • Applied application knowledge in HVAC/R is a plus
  • Strong coordination and communication skills, shares information actively; responds properly, reports on-time; accepts criticism and other opinions, addresses criticism constructively

  • German or Dutch native speaker
  • Strong team player with an analytical, proactive approach
